講座内容
These two courses are conceived as an iteration of “Japanese Mythology,” a thematic seminar held last winter on the first extant book of Japan, the Kojiki. On that occasion, early passages from the book were examined and discussed in a transdisciplinary approach (which included mythology, philology, history, and anthropology). In these two courses we will take up the Kojiki narration in the marriage of the couple Izanaki-Izanami. New myth narratives will be analyzed in detail, with a focus on those that touch on the meaning of life and death.
We will provide comparisons with similar sections from coetaneous texts such as the Nihon shoki. Further, in the interest of enhancing the understanding of the original writing (kanbun), we will discuss philological details as well. The tools for teaching this course are primarily the Kojiki text itself and a wide variety of scholarly commentaries, ranging from the Kojiki-den of Motoori Norinaga (18th century) to the most updated research on the subject (i.e., “Kojiki studies” of Kokugakuin University).

スペイン生まれ。
2016年パリEPHE(現在PSL)大学東洋学部博士課程修了。
横浜市立大学・静岡県立大学非常勤講師。國學院大學古事記学センターの客員研究員。
専門:
上代文学、スペイン語教育。
翻訳家としても活動(日本語、フランス語、英語)。
博士論文の『上代日本における「コト」概念の意味と機能』により
2017年フランス日本研究学会(SFEJ)の「Okamatsu Yoshihisa賞」受賞。
Born in Toledo, Spain. After graduating in Science at the University of Madrid, I received a two-year scholarship for research in Japan. However, during that period, I developed a deep fascination for the country and its culture. Upon my return to Europe, I decided to immerse myself in the study of Japanese history and literature, a journey that ultimately led to the completion of a Ph.D. in Ancient Japanese Myths at EPHE in Paris. At present, alongside my role as a language teacher at YCU, I am engaged in a project to create a new annotated English translation of the Kojiki at Kokugakuin University.
